Trial reflection

Today of the trial Lord of the flies I Joe Castanza thought i did a good job. To prepare for the Trial I studied the words of to tell the truth statement and I organized the evidence the day before. Another Thing I did was I made sure that everyone did something to commit to the evidence. Overall I made sure that everything went smoothly and that everything would be easy to access. I think that i should get an A+ because i did everything I was supposed to do and i made the trial go smooth and clean without any interruptions.

The Killer Carnival

Title: The Killer Carnival
BY ADAM MICHAELIS

Genre: Gory And scary
pages:7

Mentor texts
I got some inspiration from the movie the Killer Clowns and the book go ask alice.

Go Ask Alice is written as the diary of a fifteen-year-old girl's day-to-day struggle with drug addiction. Created during the height of the drug era, the girl could be anyone from this time who found him or herself seduced by the mind-altering affects of marijuana, LSD, bennies, dexies, and heroin. When the book begins, the author of the diary is an ordinary teenager with ordinary teenage concerns. from http://www.bookrags.com/studyguide-go-ask-alice/overview.html

my next mentor text is form the movie killer clowns form outer space. When a small town is invaded by aliens from outer space who are capturing and killing the townspeople, no one takes them seriously. Why? The aliens all look like circus clowns, use weapons that look clown like, and all have painted on smiles. Only a few of the young people in the town realize the danger and of course no one believes them. Armed with an ice cream truck they try and rescue their friends. from amazon.com. Were i got inspiration from it was about the fun house and how wicked clowns can be.

Writing process:

I have three to four drafts so far and i may possibly have more if my peers think that it needs improvement. Throughout those drafts i have had lots of corrections, from gramour to changing it completely. One technique i used was the spider-web method to arrange my plot and put my story together.

Publishing: What I plan on doing is joining kuran and make a collection of books and maybe publish it somewhere. Another crazy idea I have is to submit it to the new yorker I don't know why but I have an urge to. What i am going to do to make it book like is I am going to put it in a program called pages.

Continued: I Guess you try to do something and it doesn't work you have to find another alternative. My plan B was to just publish it into a book with a binding that is totally radical. publishing my story to the New Yorker; Well lets just put it this way they don't have the sophisticated taste for my exquisite taste to my horror story.

Featurecast from the past

Project Purpose:
To understand the difference between Cause/Effect Relationships and Correlations. To understand how and why major events in history are connected and intertwined (think yarn activity!). To research a major event from U.S. history in order to understand why it is significant and how it relates to other major events. To understand features of a feature article and podcast and to be able to create a feature article or podcast about your major event in history.

Project Requirements:
To present the 5Ws of your major event to the class. To write/peer edit/revise a feature article or podcast. To have at least three drafts in your Writing Portfolio. To present a polished version of your feature article or podcast on Media Night, as well as posting it online to our Team Featurecast from the Past web page (made by James).

Specific Concepts Learned:
1.
HowJFK was assassinated
JFK was killed on November 22, 1963 by a man named Lee Harvey Oswald.
President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, at 12:30 p.m while on a political trip through Texas. He was pronounced dead at 1:00 p.m.Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested, in a theater about 80 minutes after the assassination. when his wife Jacqueline Kennedy was rushed to the hospital to witness his death. they say the whole world stop as they watched his death.

2. Info about Jacqueline Kennedy's life.
She was born on July 28, 1929. She lived in New York City in the east Hampton area.
she had one sister. she married twice the first husband was JFK and the second on after his death was Aristotle Socrates Onassis. She became first lady in 1961. Some things that she did for the White House was she remodeled it and finished it in 1962. after JFK death she moved back to New York. Tragically she died of cancer on May 19, 1994.

Challenges:
One challenge I had for my podcast was that my interview conducted with a woman and that was hard to make words up that a she might say. How I overcame this challenge was I watched a movie with Jacqueline Kennedy and ask my partner for advise and it worked.

Real-World Significance
Now a days security surrounding the president and his family is intense. The Secret Service is on high alert constantly and the president would never be aloud to drive in a un-covered car again.

Querencia Clipboard

The ocean and the tennis courts are my Querencia’s. To me it feels good to have more then one place to feel safe and powerful. If I am away from the ocean, I can feel safe smashing a ball onto the other side of the tennis court.

When I am on the tennis courts, I feel that I have complete control over everything. From my power to my topspin, I am in charge of where I place the ball. Some of my friends say it’s just a ridiculous sport, but to me it’s fun and my safe haven, my sanctuary.

Sometimes I can play with my mom. She was the one to start me into this sport because when I was young, she wanted to find a sport that we could play together. It was hard to find one because she is in a wheelchair. Tennis was the right sport for both of us to play.

On the other side, the ocean and the beach is my chapel of peace and serenity. Being by the ocean relaxes me, even if there are no waves to surf Just hanging out and watching the sunset is just fine to me. Walking on the sugar- like sand feels so cool on my feet; I love the feeling of the sand. Whenever I am mad, I go to the beach and figure it out there. I also love to surf whenever I can. It is a new hobby for me, but whenever I am doing it I love every minute of it. When I am in the water, I can feel that I am connected to it even down to the fresh fish smell of the ocean. I also love the battle between mother nature and my surf board: even though she has beat me countless times I learn to cooperate with her. Just the sound of my fins cutting through the waves like a razor slicing the hair on your skin, make me feel at home.

These two hobbies combine and make one person a tennis champion, a inspired surfer, Me, Adam Michaelis.
